WinZip

Although the name suggests it is a Windows application, the well known WinZip is available for Mac OS X as well. Besides the basic archiving capabilities it comes with, the application provides other useful tools, for sharing archives over the Internet or storing them on the cloud. It takes only a few seconds to have it up and running and you can try it free of charge, without any functionality restrictions.

All you have to do is drag and drop your files on the application's compact user interface and save your new archive through a Save option in the menu bar. The process can be performed in reverse as well. You can load an archive from your local folders and click a button to extract the contents to a location of your choice.

Besides working with local files and folders, WinZip can also work with DropBox, Google Drive and with Zip Share. You can choose to load existing ZIP archives from one of these services, extract contents and upload them or load contents from a cloud folder and archive them. All combinations are possible.
